Pennies supporters Gary Barlow and Cheryl Cole get snapped by Pennies team at Jubilee concert

By Pennies on June 8, 2012

With rainy days and cold winds forecast to see us through another weekend, we’re going to need some of last weekend’s party spirit to get through a potentially dreary few days.

To remind you what all the fuss was about, here are some great photos our CEO Alison Hutchinson took at the Jubilee concert earlier this week. Practically in the front row (!) she was feet away from the top performers of the night and Pennies supporters Gary Barlow and Cheryl Cole.

Unfortunately she didn’t get a snap of Peter Kay dressed as a Beefeater but she did manage to get a photo of the Royal Guards. But is that another celebrity in a disguise on the far right – or just a Richard E. Grant lookalike?

The majority of tickets for the standing spot near the front were made available to 100 charities with Royal patronage. They were in a prime position to see the Queen and Prince Charles take to the stage to celebrate the end of the concert, with the crowd waving their flags in support.

To hear some of the lovely things Cheryl, Gary and other Pennies supporter Prince Harry have said about Pennies visit our messages of support page.
