The charities that benefit when you press ‘YES’
We take the pennies that are given, add them together and distribute the money raised to UK charities. We have raised funds from other sources to fund ourselves for some time. The Pennies Foundation is itself a charity and we make no profit.
Most of the money that you give will go to charities that are nominated by our participating retailers.
The rest will be given to a number of other UK charities to support a range of causes, all focused on improving the lives of people. In particular, the lives of our children and young people, the elderly, those who are sick or disabled and those people who need a helping hand. This includes helping the homeless and providing support when cancer has been diagnosed.
When you are shopping in a participating retailer you will be able to see their chosen charity BEFORE you press ‘YES’ and give your pennies.
