We all know that things are tough right now. Belts are being tightened and this is having an effect on charities in the UK just like everyone else. The impact on the valuable projects that they support and the thousands of vulnerable people they help is potentially huge.
Last year the number of people who gave to charity went down by a massive 750,000. In recent research 35% of those surveyed told us that they now give less as a result of the current economic climate and almost one in twenty Britons say that they have stopped giving altogether right now.
This leaves a big gap to fill so the time is right for Pennies, the electronic charity box. Lots of people join in and give a little, together we can make a huge difference.
