John Taylor Hospice

Every moment matters

John Taylor Hospice provides expert palliative care and lifeline emotional support for those in Birmingham and the West Midlands, giving freely to everyone in need. The expert staff skills give relief from the symptoms of illness and both staff and volunteers take time to listen, care and allow people to live their lives. At home or in the Hospice, staff, volunteers and the community make every moment matter.

How do people use John Taylor Hospice?

Some use the amazing facilities at the hospice; others are cared for at home. John Taylor Hospice also works with schools, doctors and the wider community, going where there is need. John Taylor Hospice’s services are like a menu; some people use just one service, others use more. The hospice listens to what people want.

How does John Taylor Hospice work?

John Taylor Hospice is a Social Enterprise meaning it is not for profit. So any surplus is spent on patients and supporting the community. It is the first Hospice in the UK to do this. Being a Social Enterprise means they are accountable to their patients, staff and the community, giving them the freedom to be an innovative, stronger Hospice. They are also better able to grow for the future too; offering new services and facilities, growing to meet the needs of Birmingham and the West Midlands.
