We’re supporting big and small charities throughout the UK
Pennies is about helping lots of charities and, over time, that’s just what we intend to do. We are passionate about making sure that support is given not only to the big charities but also to those which are medium and small sized too. We are also assisting a wide range of causes. The fuller the electronic charity box gets, the more these charities will benefit.
Our retailers nominate the charity or charities that will benefit from the majority of money that’s collected through their outlets. Different retailers, their staff and customers feel passionate about a variety of causes, so provided that the charities they select are UK registered, active and solvent, it is their choice.
The rest of the pennies in the electronic charity box will go to a range of charities that help people with different needs right across the UK. The National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) yearly “UK Giving” survey found that people-related causes are consistently the most popular with the public.
