Alder Hey Imagine Appeal raises funds to support the pioneering work of the busiest children’s hospital in Europe.
Alder Hey cares for around 250,000 children and young people each year and is the first choice provider of care for around 80% of the UK’s health commissioners. In addition to treating children for everything from a bumped head to a cut finger, Alder Hey also cares for some of the nation’s sickest children across the many specialist national services.
Alder Hey Imagine Appeal aims to improve the quality of life for children in hospital by providing the latest medical equipment, improving the environment and facilities and funding essential research. The hospital is embarking on an ambitious project to build the first children’s hospital to be located in a park and hopes to open the doors to patients during 2014 – the year the hospital celebrates its 100th birthday and Alder Hey Imagine Appeal will play a major part in making that hospital the most innovative and child-focused facility in the country.
